#627 struck a piece of MoW equipment in Chester, PA while enroute to Georgia on Sunday, April 3rd. Sadly, two Amtrak MoW workers were killed in the crash. The locomotive suffered severe damage to the nose section.

The entire #89 train sits in Penn Coach Yard after being towed up from Chester, PA where the incident occured. ACS-64 #627 (which is still coupled to the train) as well as the first two coaches suffered damage in the wreck.
